WMS Visualization service for Electronic Navigational Charts (ENC) in S-57 format (https://iho.int/en/enc-production, International Hydrographic Organization (IHO)), produced by the Hydrographic Institute (IH). It allows users to access a base map of ENC cartography, covering mainland Portugal and the archipelagos of Madeira and the Azores, Cape Verde and Angola. The service can be viewed on desktop GIS software, webGIS and mobile applications. This service must not be used for navigational purposes. Access is free of charge for non-commercial purposes, available to both public and private users. Due to the characteristics of the display systems, the information provided by this service may not coincide with the official ENC cartography information displayed on an Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS).
